The Valentine's Day Wedding

Act 1 Scene 1

February 14th 2000. Street Legal and Streets-Babe are just half an hour away from a St Valentine's Day marriage.

The wedding party and guests are gathered in the church in Bowie World. IcePrincess01 thinks that she is going to be the priest conducting the ceremony, and has changed into a monk-like avatar...

Streets-Babe> I'm trying to get a vicar, Melle pulled out

The gardens. In front of some bemused on-lookers, all the guests arrive at the garden site. The sun is shining, and everything looks so pretty...

Streets-Babe> I don't know whether we should go back to the church. Ice u marry us

Jondo appears, rather flustered

Suddenly Street Legal appears. In a break from tradition, the groom appears at the wedding after the Bride. No matter, the ceremony takes on a more traditional look as soon as Showgirl whispers to Streets-Babe and tells her to go and stand next to her man!

At last, the best man Aradin appears, to not much acclaim from Showgirl who is looking forward to the traditional best man/bridesmaid tryst...

Still in the gardens

The ceremony gets underway properly, everybody is in their proper places and dressed accordingly. (except Showgirl who has somehow contrived to turn up for the wedding in trainers! - nobody else seems to mind though so her embarrassment is tempered)

Jondo> OK Dearly beloved we are assembled here on Worlds to witness the merging of two souls.

Jondo> Two sweet people who are destined for higher things

Jondo> We must remember that love is the most precious gift to man and woman

Jondo> and it must be cherished with passion.

Jondo> I'd like to ask Street-Legal to take Streets-Babe's hand

And so the ceremony ends and Street-Legal and Streets-Babe are surrounded by happy people, chattering excitedly with each other and in private.
