RECENT EVENTS HAVE HIGHLIGHTED THE EXTREMES OF THE hosting and their individually censorship policies.

Some HOSTS use common sense, interpersonal skills and their understanding of the service we expect from Worlds, and they do an excellent job. These HOSTS are known and loved by us all for their caring fun loving attitude.

Unfortunately, not all are of this high caliber, and far from being there to help, monitor and enjoy their time on Worlds, they make Rash statements, give out unnecessary warnings and infact antagonize some situations.

This article is not to focus upon individuals, infact it is Worlds themselves who should ensure we receive the Service we pay for. 

World's chat is not unique. Maybe the format is different, maybe internet communication programmes are new, but people all over the world people have gathered in all types of meeting places to chat since time began.

Most International governments recognise and promote the policy of FREE SPEECH.

Why then should Worlds take this Freedom of speech away.

May I concentrate now at the individual issues which 'worlds' censor.

Bad Language is frowned upon by most and yet used by many all over the world. None of us wish our children to Hear, Read and use such language and of course WORLDS recognise this. But this is where common sense can assist.

ANIMAL HOUSE, The Lounge, has a bar, giving the illusion that Alcohol is for sale, which many believe is as bad, if not worse than Bad Language.

The Lounge, however, is a popular place for Adults to meet and let of a little steam.

Maybe an ADULTS ONLY room could be established here and would give the Adults the opportunity to speak freely and with no censorship.

THOSE adults with a sensitive nature, could also avoid this area.

Of course we will still have the occasional unbalanced Member who is intent on abusing all those around them, but this is where the Peer Pressure of all others users in the Lounge could help.

As in real life, these sorts of people are frowned upon, rejected and made to feel foolish for their unacceptable behavior. This already happens in Worlds when no Host's are around, and if I am honest, many users enjoy making these Main Screen abusers feel foolish and ashamed.

Worlds, we are adults living in a very difficult world, we are well aware of how to handle these situations. For those who cannot defend themselves, USE the Mute Button, after all, that's what its there for.

Before I end this article, I would like to refer to one case in particular that stands out to be a gross injustice.

A member of worlds has had his service removed indefinitely, This service, I understand, was removed after a piece of text had been copied and sent to be analysed. THE fact this member was defending himself seems to be irrelevant, and bearing in mind it was ONE piece of text then how can a judgement be made. I have read part of the Text, and I was horrified. In my opinion the Host responsible, before entering as a host to enforce his POWER, did actually antagonise the whole situation, I can see no where in this text where anyone tried to calm it down, and infact all were out of order, not JUST ONE.

THIS highlights the thoughts of a few members who believe their cards have been marked and that those WHO can are waiting for a reason to remove us.

Those members are the ones who will not take in Justice sitting down, those members are not afraid to speak out.

We are in reality WORLD WIDE allowed Free Speech and I expect nothing

less from a Service I pay for. I insist my recreational activities are

enjoyable!
