Worlds is a wonderful place for us all to go to get away from the real world for a while, and just to relax. We go there to make friends from around the world and to learn what others are really like in times that are so quickly changing.
We laugh and cry together, we share our fears and our problems, and no one needs know who we are. We care about one another, and show concern when someone has had a bad day, or sometimes even worse.
There are no age, race, religious, or nationality barriers between each of us. We talk freely to the person next to us, or even across the room, and learn to socially accept all.
No one has a handicap or disability in Worlds, and we can all walk and talk and 'hear' as normally as the next person. There is great freedom in Worlds for all to enjoy and be the whole person we are, on the inside. We do not see the person for what they look like on the outside, but what they really are.
Worlds has given us an exceptional opportunity to show all the people of all nations that we are not different, but that people are the same as you and us, human beings, and that no matter what we read or hear in the news, no matter what we hear from others, we are after all, just the same, in many ways.
And think about this; it could be the person that you are standing next to, is your boss, the one that you think doesn't like you.....or, it could be your neighbor, the one that never has that cup of sugar when you need it, or says they won't loan you a rake for the leaves. But in there, you get along great.....*Smile* That should tell us all something about the wonderful environment of Worlds.
So, next time you lose patience with what is going on in Worlds, keep this in mind. They have people who are working very hard to improve things for us. They are good people that would like nothing more than to keep each of us happy and try to help us when we need it. They have a wonderful Host Program, and they put restrictions on what goes on for both the Hosts and us so that Worlds is a good place to get away, and it isn't meant to police us. We don't have to put up with some of the problems that the other chat programs do, and we are not limited to what we can do in there, when it comes to what is available to us. They try to find out what our interests are, and what will keep us coming back. Yes, it is a business, but it is a business with a heart, and that's very hard to find these days.
And, if you want to keep Worlds alive, to find the wonderful atmosphere that most other chats are so very lacking in, please give your support. Let them know that we care as much about them, as they do us. Let's not lose this special place that we have found. |
