My Poetry Friend Imaginary We met in worlds eons ago You taught me that poetry must have flow I learned how to rhyme and reason each week It was your knowledge of poetry that I
seek. My tears have poured out since I heard the news Your reading of poetry was such inspirational muse I didn’t get to tell you goodbye I’m not sure I could have without a cry I look for a sign from you that you are happy and ok I no longer have your smile to brighten my day I lie down and close my eyes Hoping it will all be a bad dream when
I arise An angel appears to me in my room that night There was an intense bright light She was dressed in white with huge wings that fluttered Is that you Imaginary, I muttered? She left behind one feather to show she was here And to tell our friends near and dear Not to cry any more She was safely in Heaven’s door Written in memory of Imaginary by Texas Starr & Landwalker Dedicated on June 29, 2006
